At the end of the 2007/08 season we ran a Customer Satisfaction Survey and polled the teams we photographed at the MidAmerica and Junior World Selection in Fraser in Januaray and at the Festival of Synchronized Figure Skating Ontario Regionals in Oshawa in February. Between the two Competitions, we photographed about 200 teams, over half of whom ordered photo CDs. Many of them responded to our Satisfaction Survey and we wanted to share the results with you.

We very much appreciate their compliments, their support for our photo CD concept, and their constructive suggestions on how we can make our product and service even better. In fact, we have used their ideas to make our 2008/09 offerings even better!

Here are the highlights of their responses to our Customer Satisfaction Survey: 

What people said as to why they 'voted' the way they did:

• The quality of the photos was excellent and there were plenty of them. I think you got everyone and the resolution was high enough that people could enlarge them.
• I loved getting the photos this way. It saved a lot of hassle that has gone on in previous years.
• We were pleased with the number of pictures.
• The pictures were clear and very action oriented.
• We usually buy a vide but don't do anything with it other than coaching. The action pictures were a better souvenir.
• The quantity and quality of the pictures was excellent.
• Photos were sent quickly. Good quality pictures.
• The pictures were great.
• I liked the auto-run slide show.
• I like getting all the pictures. It is too hard to watch a slide show and try to deecide which ones you want.
• Lots of great pictures!
• This approach is better than lining up to find the one picture you want and then lining up to get it printed.
• Huge selection of pictures. Good quality.
• I loved the amount of photos.
• The pictures were great. 

   

Useful suggestions from our Customers:

Thank you for your ideas ... in some cases we have responded to your suggestions, see notes in brackets:

• Any thoughts on contacting the teams prior to competitions to help them get organized? (Believe it or not, we did send emails to all the coaches/managers we could reach. We'll try harder next time and use the Web more.)
• Would like to have seen two different cameras used, wide angle and close up. (That would be great, for sure, but unfortunately it would increase our costs and yours. We will consider this for next year though.)
• Too many closeups of the skaters. You need more shots of the girls with their skates on the ice. Take pictures of the formation with full body shots. (Good pointer and we have changed our shooting style to include more full body shots. Thank you for the suggestion.) 
• Watch official practice, take notes on shots of routines that might make a good photo. (Excellent pointer ...thank you. We know you are talking about the Junior World Selection and next year we will come down early enough to do as you suggest.)
• Include something that allows no hassle printing - copywrite release. (Well, all the CDs we shipped had a License on them that did exactly this, but perhaps when your team copied the CD this didn't get duplicated. We will stress this in the instructions we send with the master CD. We will also put our License up on our web site so you can download it.) 
• More photos of the whole team versus closeups.
• It would be easier to pay by credit card thatn cash. (Sorry, we have looked into this and due to the high cost and work of credit card processing we will not be accepting credit cards.)
