Sports Shots Photography is dedicated to producing high quality images of figure skating events and making a large number of pictures available at a low cost by providing them on a DVD.
Instead of having to pay for individual pictures, teams and individual atheletes can enjoy every picture from the competition. You can copy the DVD as many times as you wish, make prints, email the images, and post them to the web. These images of your action highlights make terrific souvenirs, as well as great gifts for family and friends. They can also be used to create novelty items such as T-Shirts and mugs, calendars, etc. In addition, they make a wonderful display in a digital "photo frame".

Prior Competitions:
We have photographed selected teams at the Canadian National Synchro Championships in Hamilton (2006) and in Chicoutimi (2007) and at The Porter (2008). During the 2008 season we were the official photographers at the Mid-America and Junior World Selection in Fraser, MI., at the Central Region Festival of Synchronized Skating in Oshawa, and at the Adult Championships and the STARSkate Nationals in Brampton. The Skate Canada website has many pictures we took at the STARSkate Competition in Brampton last year.
2008/09 Season Update:
We are delighted to have been appointed as the official event photographer at the following Events:

BMO Western & Eastern Challenge, Mississauga, December 3-7 ... this is the qualifying event for the Canadian Nationals for individual skaters and dance couples

Winterfest, Mississauga, January 9-11 ... this is the first major synchro competition of the season in central Canada. We look forward to meeting the competitive teams and the teams from Quebec we have not met before

Mid-America, Fraser, Michigan, January 16-18 ... thanks for inviting us back to take your pictures again!

Central Region Festival of Synchronized Figure Skating, Newmarket, February 14-15 ... this is the Regional competition at which qualification for Nationals is determined ... we look forward to seeing the many teams we photographed at this tournament in Oshawa last year

Over the summer we also purchased new cameras to get even better pictures in poorly lit arenas, and we have acquired new computers and software so that we can deliver your pictures faster. We have also developed a new service of interest to highly competitive synchro teams ... a "coaching DVD" of action photos that can be used to point out areas of improvement in positioning skaters in the classic synchro formations. We will be offering this only at select events ... look for details to follow.
